Tino wins 2016 UNSW Science Postgraduate Research Competition

Congrats to Tino, one of our PhD students, for winning this year’s UNSW Science Postgraduate Research Competition.
In this annual competition, almost 80 PhD students from the Faculty of Science were judged on communicating their research and key findings with the public based on an abstract, a poster and most importantly, a one-minute oral presentation.

With his presentation on “Managing Water Resources from Space”, Tino became 1st placed in the Climate, Environment and Sustainability category and was awarded with 5,000 AUD of research travel funding and the chance to compete in the inter-faculty final, the UNSW Three Minute Thesis Competition on Thursday 8 September 2016.
